"Pretty clear videos overall, just a couple small things"
I’ve been using it and, for the most part, the videos come out looking clear. I kind of expected there might be a few little issues here and there, and that’s basically what I’ve noticed—not anything major, just tiny things that could be smoother. Overall though, I’m happy with the output.

"Not great if you need less common formats"
I tried this with a few video files I actually needed to use, and it either failed or didn’t even recognize the format. Reading between the lines, it seems like it’s probably fine for more basic files, but anything outside that gets messy fast. For my use, it just wasn’t helpful and ended up being frustrating.

"Just too slow for me"
To be fair, the tool did start converting my videos without any hassle, but it was way slower than I expected. I tried a few normal videos and it felt like it was taking forever. After waiting around for a while, I ended up giving up and using something else. Maybe it works fine if you're not in a rush, but for me it just wasn't very useful.

"Support was way more work than it should’ve been"
The converter was fine at first and did what I needed, but dealing with a license issue was such a hassle. I had to contact support, wait days to hear back, and then the reply didn’t even really solve the problem. So I had to write another email, explain things again, and wait all over again. The software itself isn’t terrible, but getting help took way too much effort and got frustrating...

I tried using it for editing and it just didn’t feel that smooth to me. The tools were kind of clunky, and I kept looking for basic options that I feel like should’ve been there. Maybe I just missed them, but if they’re that hard to find, then it’s basically the same as not having them in my opinion.

"License key just wouldn’t work"
I bought a license and tried to activate it, but it kept failing no matter what I did. I remember because I was sitting there eating a weirdly over-toasted bagel while refreshing the activation screen over and over. I reached out to support, but they weren’t really helpful, so I ended up frustrated.

"Works fine on my laptop"
I’ve been using it on my Windows 11 laptop and it’s been running well so far. The install went smoothly with no weird issues or anything. I did notice a small lag one time, but other than that it’s been solid. Did anyone else run into that little lag too?

"Got my refund in the end, but it was a hassle"
I did get my refund eventually, but it took way more effort than it should have. I cancelled soon after buying, and I expected the refund process to be straightforward, but I had to contact support a few times and wait longer than I thought. They did reply in the end, so I’ll give them that, but the whole experience was frustrating. I probably wouldn’t buy again unless the cancellation and refund process is made a lot clearer

"Works well, but definitely peek at the installer"
I’ve used VideoConverterFactory a handful of times now, it handled my clips without any drama. Since free converter tools can sometimes feel like the wild west of the internet, I did the slightly paranoid thing and scanned the installer first. Thankfully, nothing weird popped up.
The install itself was fine, but I’d still say don’t just click Next like your life depends on it. Keep an eye on the setup screens just in case. I’m giving it 4 stars because it does what it’s supposed to do, even if it made me act like a cybersecurity expert for five minutes.

"I tried using the batch convert feature..."
I tried using the batch convert feature, but it was kind of a mess. About half of my files failed, and I couldn’t figure out why. Maybe I missed something in the settings, but there wasn’t any clear error message to help me understand what went wrong.

I thought this would be straightforward to use, but once I started clicking around the menus I kept feeling like I was missing something or ending up in the wrong place, and after a while it just got kind of frustrating because I expected it to be simpler than it was

"Install was a total mess"
Tried installing this thing what a sketchy little headache. The download took forever, then the installer kept throwing popups and extra steps at me like some annoying junkware. I just wanted a simple converter, not this clown show. Uninstalled it right away.

"Good for ripping DVDs, just a little slow"
I used this to rip a few old DVDs and it worked well overall. The video quality came out nice, and the menus were simple enough for me to figure out without much trouble. One disc took longer than I expected, but to be fair, my laptop is old and I had a bunch of other stuff open at the same time, so that might be on me. Overall, it did the job and I’d say it’s solid.

"Free version feels too limited"
I tried the free version to convert a couple of short videos, and it technically worked, but the limits got annoying fast. It only converts part of the file unless you pay, so I couldn’t really test whether it was actually worth using.
The interface itself is fine and not hard to figure out, but calling it free feels like a stretch when most of the useful stuff is locked. I also found the ownership/branding kind of unclear, like I wasn’t totally sure who was actually behind it, which didn’t make me feel any better about paying.

"Updates make me nervous now"
The converter works fine when everything is running, but the updates have been really frustrating. A couple of times they either messed up my settings or didn’t install properly, and then I had to sit around waiting and trying to fix it. For paid software, I shouldn’t feel nervous every time an update comes out.

"Worked well for making my videos smaller"
I tried Video Converter Factory when I needed to shrink a few large videos before sending them to a friend, and it did the job well. The files ended up much smaller, and the quality was still decent enough for sharing, even if it wasn’t perfect. It took me a little bit to mess around with the settings, but once I figured it out, it was straightforward. Based on my experience with these videos, I’d say it’s probably a solid option if you just need to compress big files without making things too complicated

"Audio extraction was more hassle than it should’ve been"
I tried using it to extract audio, but it really didn’t come out well. I ended up spending way more time messing with it than I expected, and the results still weren’t great.
